The animal cardiac function research system is used to comprehensively evaluate animal cardiac function, including cardiac systolic and diastolic function, pumping function, hemodynamics, cardiac electrophysiology, etc. It consists of an animal pressure measurement system, a ventricular pressure volume measurement system, and a cardiac electrophysiology measurement system. The three systems are independent of each other and are all composed of a Scisence solid-state catheter system and an iWorx data acquisition system.
Pressure conduit system
The Scisense pressure conduit system consists of a main controller and pressure conduits, and suitable pressure conduits are selected according to different animal types.
SP200 type pressure main controller
6. Compatible with animals of different sizes such as rats, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, pigs, and dogs
Application scope: Measurement of various pressures such as arterial pressure, venous pressure, intracranial pressure, bladder pressure, urethral pressure, etc
1. Polyimide conduit
·The small caliber lumen entering the aorta has little impact on its blood flow and can obtain data that is closer to the physiological state
2. Smooth appearance
·Can be reconstructed through arteries
animal | Catheter model | Main applications and usage methods |
mice | 1.2F single pressure conduit | Arterial or ventricular pressure measurement |
1.2F dual pressure conduit | Simultaneous measurement of carotid artery pressure and ventricular pressure
rat | 1.6F single pressure conduit | Arterial or ventricular pressure measurement |
1.6F single pressure conduit | Simultaneous measurement of carotid artery pressure and ventricular pressure
rabbit | 1.6F or 3.5F single pressure conduit | Arterial or ventricular pressure measurement |
3.5F dual pressure conduit | Simultaneous measurement of carotid artery pressure and ventricular pressure
Large animals (Dogs, pigs, sheep) |
5.0F or 7.0F single pressure conduit (Roll Head) |
Arterial or ventricular pressure measurement can be inserted from the carotid or femoral artery |
5.0F or 7.0F single pressure conduit (Straight head) |
Arterial or ventricular pressure measurement, can be inserted from the apex of the heart during open chest surgery
5.0F or 7.0F dual pressure conduit (Roll Head) |
Simultaneous measurement of carotid and ventricular pressure, which can be inserted from the carotid or femoral artery
5.0F or 7.0F dual pressure conduit (Straight head) |
Simultaneous measurement of carotid artery pressure and ventricular pressure, allowing for open chest surgery with insertion from the apex of the heart |
